An assessment that leaves you with reams of network diagrams,
application inventories, and process flows may be less useful than an
executive summary that bridges the divide between where you are and
where you want to be.
Over the years we have assessed and inventoried hundreds of IT
environments, but the most valuable engagements occur when clients ask for
our opinion on how to make best use of existing infrastructure and
staff. When done correctly an assessment can validate plans, breath life
into the planning process, and introduce new perspective.
Being unsure of the path to take is not a sign of incompetence, taking
the wrong path without exploring options is.
